Hydro Thunder Hurricane - Steven Milich

Alright then boaties, the easiest way to describe Hydro Thunder would be to call it Motorstorm on water. Now imagine the cars and motorbikes from Motorstorm falling into water and sinking to the bottom, then replace that silly image with boats easily floating on the surface as it was intended...

I love it when the title is able to convey the essence of the game. The words not only describe the game play, but also the vision that underpins its entire design. And that vision is one of speed, precision, split second timing (pun intended) and no margin of error...

 

Red Dead is never Far Away - Dylan Burns

If you've played RDR through to at least the crossing into Me-hi-co, you'll recognise the song 'Far Away' by Jose Gonzalez. It was one of those rare moments when game pacing, storyline, visuals and sound all complimented each other and many players found it to be a defining moment from the game. Rockstar shot word through this morning that Mr. Gonzalez was filmed performing the song on acoustic guitar... on the roof of the Rockstar NYC building! Click through for the full clip...
